The Program
Training consists of a prep course for the international exam that can be completed in three months. Central service technical training is a comprehensive course in central service and sterile processing, designed to prepare infection control, material management, operating room, and central service employees to succeed on the international level.
Central Sterile Processing Technicians decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize instruments and surgical sets. CSPTs also manage inventory, order supplies, inspect, and retrieve equipment from emergency room, labor and delivery, operating room, and intensive care units.
